WILL THE SOCIETY NEVER CHANGE ?
A few years ago, a photograph of American model Kendall Jenner in a bathing suit went viral, showing what for many is the perfect body in a woman. Right, a photograph of Alyssa Carson, the 19-year-old astronaut who became the youngest person in history to pass all NASA aerospace tests.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
You can probably realize which of the two is better known and admired globally, yet this situation shows us the disproportionate value that society places on exaggerated stereotypes of beauty.
While many women struggle daily to belong to historically male-dominated positions and professions, society rewards vanity and beauty over real abilities and intellect.
I am the first person to appreciate the female form if we are to put this asthenic above incredibly talented, dedicated, and skilled individuals like Alyssa Carson.
In a world where the spotlight often shines on external beauty and celebrity, it’s crucial to question the values that underpin our societal priorities.
While I’m the first to appreciate the allure of the female form, the comparison between Kendall Jenner and Alyssa Carson highlights a deep-seated issue that goes beyond personal preferences.
Alyssa Carson, the 19-year-old astronaut, represents an embodiment ofdedication, intelligence, and remarkable achievement.
Her journey to become the youngest person in history to pass all NASA aerospace tests showcases the heights that human potential can reach when fueled by passion, knowledge, and skill. Yet, in contrast, the viral photograph of Kendall Jenner in a bathing suit, which promotes a widely accepted standard of beauty, gains disproportionate attention and admiration.
This discrepancy is not just a matter of personal taste; it reflects a broader societal imbalance. While countless women continue to break barriers in historically male-dominated fields, the persistent glorification of vanity and beauty can overshadow their accomplishments.
It’s essential to recognize that our values and priorities as a society play a significant role in shaping our collective future.
Elevating an asthenic figure above individuals like Alyssa Carson, who have worked tirelessly to excel in their chosen fields, is not just ignorant but also detrimental to the progress of the human race.
To truly advance as a society, we must reassess our emphasis on superficial beauty and redirect our admiration toward those who contribute substantially to our collective knowledge, capabilities, and aspirations.
It’s high time we celebrate intellect, skills, and dedication as much as physical attractiveness.
Only then can we nurture a more balanced and equitable world that values substance over superficiality.”
I think that would not only be ignorant, but extremely damaging to the evaluation and progress of the human race.
